My name is Bob Gillinger. I’m a writer and stationary nut. I’ll be talking a lot about pens and paper, and we’ll see where things go from there.
After graduating, I moved to Japan where I spend my time writing and traveling. Since then, I’ve slowly been introduced to the deep and compelling world of stationary. It turns out the right tools can make writing more than a rewarding creative experience, it’s also an incredibly tactile craft.

My first and foremost passion is writing. I love putting words together and telling stories. I want to share some of the things I’ve been working on as well as the things I’m reading.
Stationary
Hand in hand with my love of writing is my love of the tools people write with. Collecting pens, paper, and ink is a huge part of my life and something I love talking to people about.
Travel
I’m lucky enough to be living in beautiful Japan. Come travel with me across amazing landscapes and through cities where the past and future weave together.
